Our story
Why we started, and why we went mobile
Chastain Mechanical Solutions is a small company run by people who have worked on vehicles together for years.
How it started
We opened Chastain Mechanical Solutions in 2023. The two of us, Erica and Chas, were working at the same trailer repair company when it shut down, so we decided to start a company of our own.
Why mobile
We chose mobile repair on purpose. It’s where the industry is heading, and we wanted to meet it there. Because we come to the vehicle, you don’t pay for a tow or give up a day in a waiting room.
Rooted in Stockbridge
The business is family owned, and Erica has lived in Stockbridge for 30 years. From our home base here we work across Henry, Clayton, Fulton, DeKalb, and Rockdale Counties.
The people
Meet our lead technician
Chas · Lead technician
He rebuilt his first engine at ten years old
Today Chas has more than 20 years of hands-on experience, and he leads our team of technicians.
That experience is why we take on jobs that go past what a code reader can tell you, like tracing a wiring fault or replacing a timing chain on-site.
What we work on
From 1960s classics to current models
We work on cars and trucks of every age. Tell us the year, make, and model when you call or text.
Older vehicles
We do a lot of work on older vehicles, from the 1960s forward.
Current models
Late-model cars and trucks get the same attention, including computer diagnostics for check engine lights.
Work trucks
From daily drivers to work trucks, we bring the right tools to the job.
See what we fix: Diagnostics, Brakes & Suspension, Cooling System Repair, Starting System Repair, and Roadside & Breakdown.
How we work
What you can count on
The same four things apply on every job, whether it’s a battery swap in a driveway or a breakdown at 2 a.m.
You approve the work first
Anything beyond the original job gets your OK before we touch it. No surprise add-ons.
A clear diagnostic fee
The diagnostic fee is $95. Half is credited toward your repair when we do the repair the same day.
Same price day or night
We’re available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Nights and weekends cost the same as daytime calls.
14-day workmanship follow-up
If an issue comes up with our repair within 14 days, we come back and inspect it at no additional diagnostic charge.
