The basics
How mobile repair works
Does a mobile mechanic really come to my house?
Yes. We come to your driveway, your office parking lot, or the roadside anywhere in Henry, Clayton, Fulton, DeKalb, and Rockdale Counties.
Do you have a shop I can bring my vehicle to?
No. We’re a mobile repair company, so we come to you: your driveway, your workplace, a parking lot, or the roadside.
What should I tell you when I call or text?
Your address or cross streets, your year, make, and model, and what the vehicle is doing. We come to you, find the problem, and fix it there.
Can you fix my car while I’m at work?
Yes. We work in office and workplace parking lots as well as driveways, so the repair can happen while you’re at work.
Are you open nights and weekends?
Yes. Call or text 678-386-1390 any time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. After-hours calls cost the same as daytime calls.
Cost
Pricing and payment
Is there a diagnostic fee?
Yes. The diagnostic fee is $95 and covers the time, tools, and expertise it takes to find the problem. It’s due when the diagnosis is done, whether or not you go ahead with the repair. If we do the repair the same day, half of the fee is credited toward the cost of the repair.
Will I know the price before the work starts?
Yes. You get the full price, parts and labor, before any work begins. Anything beyond the original job gets your OK before we touch it.
Does it cost more at night or on weekends?
No. After-hours calls cost the same as daytime calls: the $95 diagnostic fee, with the repair priced before any work begins.
When is payment due, and how can I pay?
Payment is due in full when the job is complete, and the diagnostic fee is due when the diagnosis is done. We accept all forms of payment except checks.
How much does brake pad replacement cost?
Labor for brake pad replacement is $150 per axle. Parts are priced separately and depend on your vehicle, and the total goes up if the rotors need replacing too. See mobile brake repair.
How much does a battery replacement cost?
A battery swap is usually just our $95 service charge, plus the cost of the battery. See starter and alternator repair.
How much is a pre-purchase inspection?
A pre-purchase inspection is $150. We come to wherever the vehicle is parked and check it over before you hand over any money. See mobile diagnostics.
Services
What we repair
What can you repair on-site?
Diagnostics, brakes and suspension, cooling system repair, belts and hoses, timing chains, motor mounts, batteries, starters and alternators, and roadside breakdowns.
Do you do oil changes?
Not as a separate visit. You can add an oil change or a fluid check to any repair visit and skip a separate trip.
Do you do jump starts, tire changes, or lockouts?
No. We’re a repair service, so we come out to find and fix what’s wrong with the vehicle. If the battery turns out to be the problem, we can test it and replace it on the spot. See roadside repair.
Do you work on older vehicles?
Yes. We do a lot of work on vehicles from the 1960s forward, along with current models.
Do you work on trucks?
Yes. We repair cars and trucks, from daily drivers to work trucks.
Is it safe to keep driving with a warning sign?
If the check engine light is flashing, the engine is overheating, or the brakes are grinding, pull over when it’s safe and call us. A steady check engine light on a vehicle that drives normally is usually fine for a short time, but get it checked soon.
The fine print, in plain words
Parts, diagnosis, and follow-up
Can I supply my own parts?
You can. Labor charges still apply if a part you supply turns out to be defective or doesn’t fit, so we recommend parts we source, which carry the manufacturer’s or supplier’s warranty.
I already know what’s wrong. Can you just do the repair?
We can. If the repair is based on your own diagnosis, another shop’s, or a code reader’s, we do the work you ask for, but we can’t guarantee it will fix the problem.
The parts store read my code for free. Why pay for a diagnostic?
A code tells you which system reported a problem, not which part failed. We test to find the actual cause, so you don’t pay for parts you didn’t need.
What if the problem comes back after the repair?
If an issue comes up with the specific work we did within 14 days, we return and inspect it at no additional diagnostic charge.
Coverage
Where we work
What areas do you serve?
We’re based in Stockbridge and serve Henry, Clayton, Fulton, DeKalb, and Rockdale Counties, including Stockbridge, McDonough, Decatur, and Atlanta.
Can you help if I break down on the highway?
Yes. Roadside breakdown repair is one of our services. Pull as far off the road as you safely can, turn on your hazard lights, and call us. If you’re in a dangerous spot, call 911 first.
Do I need a tow if my car won’t start?
No. We come to where the car is parked, find out why it won’t start, and make the repair there.
