Symptoms
Signs your cooling system needs attention
If your vehicle is doing any of these, call or text us and describe what you’re seeing.
Temperature gauge climbing
The needle sits higher than normal or heads for the red.
Steam from under the hood
Coolant is escaping and boiling off on hot engine parts.
A puddle under the front of the vehicle
Coolant is usually green, orange, or pink and feels slick.
A sweet smell after driving
Hot coolant has a sweet, syrupy smell.
Coolant level keeps dropping
If you keep topping it off, it’s going somewhere.
Heater blowing cold air
Low coolant can leave the heater with nothing to work with.
Gauge in the red or steam from the hood? Pull over when it’s safe and shut the engine off. Then call us and we’ll come to you.

FAQ
Cooling system repair questions
Can a radiator or water pump be repaired in my driveway?
Yes. We bring the tools and handle radiator, water pump, belt, and hose repairs right where the vehicle is parked.
Is it safe to drive a car that’s overheating?
No. Driving with the engine overheating can cause serious engine damage. Pull over when it’s safe, shut the engine off, and call us. Don’t open the radiator cap while the engine is hot.
Can I just keep adding coolant?
Topping it off gets you by for a short time, but a cooling system is sealed, so a level that keeps dropping means there’s a leak. Leaks usually get worse, and running low on coolant is how engines overheat.
How much does cooling system repair cost?
It depends on which part has failed and on your vehicle. The $95 diagnostic finds the leak or the cause, and half of that is credited toward the repair when we do it the same day. You get the full price, parts and labor, before any work begins.
